We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Mechanical Technician to join the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) detector Technical Coordination crew. This crew is performing a wide range of site activities: repair, maintenance, upgrade of the detector and its infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

• Heavy Lifting and Movement Operations (40%)
1. Perform safe and efficient heavy lifting of the CMS detector components using equipment such as strand jack systems, air pads, and hydraulic jacks.
2. Perform regular maintenance and checks on heavy lifting equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition. Propose maintenance procedure if necessary.
• Mechanical Support for Upgrade Projects and infrastructure (40%)
1. Participate in a wide range of mechanical tasks to support the upgrade and maintenance of the CMS detector and associated infrastructure.
2. Engage in diverse mechanical activities on-site, including assembly, installation, alignment, and repair of mechanical components.
• Drafting and Tooling Development (20%):
1. Utilize basic drafting skills to contribute to the design and upgrade of tooling required for the opening and maintenance of the CMS detector.
2. Assist in the creation and modification of technical drawings under the guidance of engineers.
